Ah I love the inspiration especially when writing.

This one isn’t even related to the story I’m working on…

*pouts* My characters in Sugar Daddy aren’t listening to this but the ones in a couple of my future tales are.

All in all, a pretty seductive tune.

Love Deftones!

As you know, I’m still working on Sugar Daddy

This is my muse for Devon Peartly.

Boris Kodjoe.

Oh he comes off simple in the beginning but there is some trouble he’s about to cause for my loving couple.

Good morning! Here’s a little of my WIP that’s coming along very well. Sugar Daddy, the 5th and final book in the Something New on the Menu series.

Matthew Davidson wants a MAN! The setting shifts away from the America’s to Britain where Matthew and his childhood friend, Devon Peartly attend a cooking school to gain experience as chefs. The young man wants a partner so badly, he decides he’ll try an online dating service in hopes of finding a black man that can take care of him and satisfy him romantically.

He finds that man, Antwon Bantu on an online dating site and is instantly intrigued. Little does Matthew know that Antwon is involved in a “convenient” marriage and is seeking a younger partner so he can finally divorce his wife and have someone to carry on his last name. Instead of confessing the truth about his wife, he decides to hide it, fearing that he’ll lose the chance with Matthew if he informs him. To complicate things, Antwon’s wife claims to be in love with him and doesn’t want to grant the divorce. In addition Antwon must choose what is more important, loving Matthew or saving his impeccable reputation as a top barrister in the London courts?

Unedited excerpt

The anticipation of seeing his potential man was already killing him. Nervously, he tapped his fingers on the keyboard, listening to Antwon ramble about a couple of the guys he’d met on the site. In all honesty, Matthew was too concerned with what his new friend would send him.

Although he’d told Devon that looks weren’t all that important, Matthew couldn’t help but be worried about what Antwon looked like. Damn. What if he’s an ogre? Does he have teeth missing in the front? Is he balding or overweight? Antwon didn’t have to be a runway model or muscle bound man but he at least had to be handsome and of suitable size.

The good thing about being into men was they could carry their weight a little better than women. With even small muscles and bulge around a midsection, a man could still be concerned hot and handsome.

“Oh my you are gorgeous!” Antwon’s declaration made Matthew wince and move the phone away from his ear. “You’re a redhead too. I love redheads,” he beamed.

“Aw, well, not a natural but yes, right now I am.” The compliment caused his cheeks to redden and just as he thought of relaxing, he saw the email come through. Matthew took a deep breath, placed the cursor on the email button, and closed his eyes. Please let him be a hunk or at least decent!

Quickly, he clicked the button and lifted one lid. “Oooh my!” On his screen a picture of a distinguished looking black man dressed in what looked to be a grey Oswald Boateng. Antwon sitting down, in a model pose with his legs crossed and flashing a businesslike grin. Chocolate never looked so good! His smooth head looked delicious enough to lick and from his chin hung a salt and pepper goatee trimmed to perfection. “Oh Antwon, you’re a hunk!”

There is a God!

“Aww, stop, I’m alright, nothing real special, duck. Just an older chap from Liverpool who’s done quite well for himself.”

Matthew had to agree. Satisfied, he clicked the photo again so he could see it in its entirety. Brown eyes that resembled dark chocolate kisses, smooth flesh, not a bump from what he could tell and man, did he wear that suit well. Fitted in all the right places, a perfectly matching tie coloured grey with pink polka dots. The man knew how to dress and this Matthew appreciated to no end.

I love a sharp dressed man!

Antwon was indeed a dream come true. So gorgeous, beautiful, and sexy. He couldn’t wait to see what lie under that outfit. A hard body, I bet. And even if it wasn’t, Antwon still appeared to be a man who took very good care of himself.

“Matthew, still there, my friend?”

“Barely,” he cooed and stared at the photo while he moistened his lips. “You’re a sexy mothafucka, Antwon. Ahem, excuse, me, couldn’t help myself. When can we see one another?”

Oh God he is sexy!

“Ah my friend, it’s the weekend and since I’ve got no cases, how about tonight?”

Greetings! Welcome to Rawiya’s with another Wind Down Wednesday!

I love when inspiration hits especially in the form of a song! Oh and is it hitting! It’s not completely new either just a short story I’ve already done begging to get a full book written. Join the many muses who want that. *giggles* And I’m only speaking about me, Rawiya, not even the two other muses who have the same issues.

The plot bunny comes from my short, “That Thing” in the STARbooks Anthology, Tall Dark, And Delicious.

The story is about a former officer in the Navy who is married with kids who finally finds a man he’d like to try settling down with. This tale is similar to BL’s My Lieutenant but Lawrence Bernard is still hitched and looking for a way out. Like Bryant Duncan, he’s finally coming to grips with the fact he’s gay but unlike the Lieutenant he’s not ready to embrace it. In fact, he calls the relationship he has with Jamison a “thing” and Jamison, much like Nathan is surly and cynical, even more so than Nathan. In fact, he’s not so willing to give in like Nathan was and his female friend is suspicious as well.

When I first wrote the short, there were a couple of songs in my brain but the plot bunny didn’t really speak until I heard this one in the grocery store.

The lyrics! That’s my muse, Lawrence speaking to me! WOW, unreal. This is what I love about being a writer. Now, you know what I hate about this? The inspiration comes while I’m writing Sugar Daddy. lol

Time to write a full synopsis and I can’t wait to fully develop this tale.

Yes music is truly inspiring and I love when it helps me to develop a tale.

Good morning!

Here is another Monday Morning Muse

Last week, I gave you the face I’m using for Matthew in Sugar Daddy.

Here is his potential lover here, Antwon Bantu played by Djimon Hounsou. Rich barrister who lives in Knightsbridge.

When I saw this pic, I knew this was the man Matthew would be interested in.

He’s he perfect Sugar Daddy!
